C’est dans un double désir, celui de Gérard Garouste de voir exprimée son œuvre peinte dans une espace architectural, et le mien d’interpréter, de traduire sa peinture en langage céramique, que le dialogue s’est tenu et que l’œuvre a pu naître dans la confiance.

It is through the combination of two wishes – Gérard Garouste’s, who wanted to see his paintings in an architectural space; and mine, who wanted interpret his pictural language using a different medium, ceramic – that the dialogue existed and the artwork was born.
